Dear Tracey D
I don't know if you have booked anything yet, if you haven't a few comments from someone who lives in Cornwall and goes on rallies most weekends to different sites with a local camping group on
I love Trevornick, but am not going this year as too expensive even at rally rates, and £63.00 is appalling.
Monkey Tree used to be very popular with locals and visitors, however, following a management change many locals no longer stay there, many feel it is nowhere near as good as used to be. I've not been there for almost a year but it does get very packed in school holidays and I agree it can be noisy.
Newperran, read the terms and conditions very carefully, it's not the most child teenager friendly site, it has a great pool, however, its often freezing but you may be lucky in the school holidays.
Trevella is very popular, and it has fishing lakes I don't go there but only because our unit is too big otherwise I would definitely go. I know Trevella takes dogs too as various friends take theirs.
Carlyon Bay one of my favorites, been there twice in the last month it's a great site, great showers and pool, the takeaway does nice food and it has a shop, and they have some entertainment high season it's not that far from the beach. if your son likes Trevornick he may it a little quiet.
Hendra, another popular site, been there twice since Easter lots to do, some pitches do border the road, but others are some way from the road, read the site plan and pick your pitch, no fishing lake on site.
Tregoad Park Looe has 3 lakes it's a popular site but I've not been there.
There are lots of sites with fishing close by, the Parkdean sites have lots to do, Holywell bay is very close to Trevornick, Parkdean also has Mullion Holiday Park and Newquay Holiday Park, not sure of the prices may be expensive too. Haven's Perran Sands is another popular site, but may be expensive, both Parkdean and Haven have special offers at times, depending on availability.
Hope this helps and have a nice holiday wherever you stay
