Hi Guys

I am thinking of going to CROWS NEST FILEY/SCARBOROUGH for the June bank holiday in a tent, I have not been to this site and I know they have had a new shower block recently. I wonder if anyone who has been can remind me:-

a) what is the arrangement with regards to ice packs

b) are there plug shockets in shower blocks for straightner and hair dryers for the ladies in our party

Thanks

Lisax

As Crows Nest is our sister park i can answer all your questions.

a) We do freeze ice blocks in the shop. There is a nominal charge - i think 20p per block.

b) We have hair dryers in the ladies and gents(posh ones with temperature settings). There is also a wall of mirrors and plug sockets ideal for straighteners etc.

As the block only opened before Easter and it was a wet weekend, not too many people have used it. We have had a great response from everyone who has looked around, but only one review so far. Here is the relevant bit:

Came for Easter weekend and apart from the horrific weather and serious high winds, I have to say the new shower/toilet/laundry/washing up area is amazing. Like a five star hotel on your camping field, the showers are hot and very clean. We are going back in June, August and September and would recommend to anyone. Definately an improvement from the old facilities.....

Thank you so much for coming back to me!!!

I read that review about the new block which sounded great, but with 3 girls with us in thier early teens I just wanted to make sure they would be able to use thier straightners lol

I will also have a look at Jasmine park and the facebook link, I am always on the look out for new sites, we have not been campers long and have only been twice (crows next being 2 of those)

I have a friend with me who is a virgin camper, so wanted to pick a really good site

Last time I went to crows nest, which I think was 2008, they freezed ice packs for you then at 20p a time, but I noticed some sites have stopped doing it so thought it might be some over the top new health and safety rule

Thanks again for advice
