If you want kids entertaining then what you are left with is haven and haven type sites.  The whole point of them is that they are busy, so quiet on a haven site is relative.

What is the difference between butlins and haven?  Hafan y mor is on the old butlins Pwllheli site. Its a bit quieter now than the butlins heyday but always activities on.  Greenacres caravan part is noisier but you get full service pitches.

I haven't tried the yorkshire ones.

We use Haven/park resorts early and late as they have the advantage of full electrics but not in the middle as they are just too dear june/july/august

Thorpe park is very good as is Hunstanton, Reighton is on the edge of a cliff Green acres is good for the beach although its a bit of a walk

I'd personally reccomend Haven Greenacres in Porthmadog and Park Resorts Ty Mawr in Towyn, North Wales. Both great sites for families and all the facilities are in nice easy walking distance of the touring pitches.

Steer clear of Presthaven Sands in Prestatyn. The facilities are great but theyre about half hour walk away from the touring caravan pitches.
