We have booked to go here for two weeks this June/July. We have read the few reviews that are on here. A lot of the reviews say that the pitches are quite small, but what i want to know is after we have set up our 21' van and awning, are we going to have enough room to sit outside of an evening with our BBQ/fire pit?

I live near this site also and have been on there a few times and I think the pitches are of an adequate size. You will be absolutely fine.

We took our 26ft van there on a premier pitch and it was a bit tight but absolutely loved the site

Can anyone confirm that they do not allow people to sleep in an awning on this park?

I have clicked onto their page to show our neighbour and at the bottom it says no pup tents, awning annexes or sleeping in awnings.

I have booked for three adults and four children and nobody said to me anything about not allowing people to sleep in the awning.

Where else do they think seven people would sleep in a 20' caravan?

I know that you are always supposed to read the small print but i have never come across this before in all my years of caravanning

None of the Haven sites, that I have been to, allow sleeping in awnings - mind you, nobody has ever checked either

Haven do not allow Pup tents on their caravan pitches, they are allowed as separate units on their sites that accept tents, with the appropiate fees paid.

I dont know about Marton Mere, but Primrose Valley Haven dont allow the Zip in type sleeping extentions on awnings either, and they use the width across the front of your caravan and awning as your parking space to form a T-shape, so nothing is allowed to pertude infront of your drawbar to stop this.
