need some information we are thinking of buying a caravan in the near future. can you site a towing caravan to make it semi permanent with out towing can some one please help as at the moment only campers from Fran and Steve

Hi there

You need to search for 'seasonal pitches', each site will differ in what the pitch will include, so ask questions. Some include electricity, some dont, some are for only 6 or 8 months others for longer. Depending on where the cost can vary greatly as well. Some will let you leave awnings up others may only be left up for some of the time, as i say each site will vary so check it out.

There are lots of sites with seasonal pitching all round the country, I guess the first thing is think about what area of the country you want to be in, then what type of site and the facitlies you want then you'll start to narrow down the choices, look at the length of season, some are 12 months, some much shorter 6 months (or less) and some in between. Do you want inland or coast, do you have a budget?, do you want hardstanding or grass? do you want fully serviced of shared services? the list is endless. Lots of sites allow awnings to be left up from May to end Sept - some won't let you leave them up unless you are there. Use the search facility here to get an idea.
