Hi we've just booked for a site in Norfolk called Kelling Heath. Has anyone been? we're in a section called 'Bluebell'. Is there plenty for two teenagers to do without breaking the bank ?

Cheers

Ian

a great site - was there at Easter.  We were in Blue Butterfly, which I assume is where you are, as the other areas have different colour names.  There are lots of things to do depending on what they like to do, the meals in the restaurant are OK but nothing special and not cheap, but there is obvously Cromer and Sheringham near by too which are OK.  Would definitely go again - very clean, staff are very helpful, and decent showers/toilets etc.

We're next there for Jubilee week, but have been many times before. Lots to do for all ages, and a great walk around the wood. The train is great to catch into Sheringham, or into Holt.

You'll love it!

We go to Kelling Heath twice a year at Spring and Autumn equinoxes for the astronomy star parties. It's like a home from home now - loads of stuff to do for kids and adults alike.

Apart from the central village area with indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, bars with kids apparatus, restaurants, games arcade, and shop, there's nature trails, walks, football pitch sized play field with more aparatus, frequent organised activities, bike hire, animal spotting, moth hunting, bat watching etc etc.

Then there's Sheringham and Cromer both very close for seaside town day visits, and a steam train that runs right past the edge of the campsite. If you're lucky you'll get a free air show when the RAF practise dog fighting and low level bomb runs right over the site - we had pilots waving back from the cockpit one year.

It's a very nicely run site with well kept and clean shower blocks - plenty of hot water - and very friendly staff. Bluebell area has the benefit of shade from the trees if you need it. Thoroughly recommended - I've never left the site except to go shopping in Holt or to get petrol, and the onsite shop does cash back. Smashing place to stay

I have been yearly and would recommend this site.  I normally stay in a static but now I have bought a tent, I will camp there.  The site itself is lovely and never found any faults yet except if you want the indoor pool, you had to pay which was expensive.  We hired bikes from the site which was fun going round the surrounding woods.

Hi Ian

I've not been before but have booked for the first time this year.

Have read all the posts to your question and can't wait for the summer holidays.

We are camping in the Blue Butterfly section so hope to see you there,
