I haven't stayed at any so can't give personal recommendation but do know that Hidden Valley is set on a very busy road, 2 years ago we narrowed our search down to Hidden Valley and Newberry valley and chose the latter after looking on Google earth.

We loved Newberry and had a drive round Hidden Valley while we were there and weren't keen, it was quite shabby and the road noise was very loud.

We stayed at woodlands last summer with a 3&5yr old and loved it.
The tent pitches are all set out in groups of about 10 with plenty space for kids to play.no park onsite but the theme park that is joined to site is great for young kids.
Toilets always spotless also couple family rooms with baths.Good laundry room with freezers for ice packs.
Also a games room with pool tables/vid games ect..
Supermarket few minutes drive down the road.
There is loads to do in the area, hope to go back sometime

Padstow - we always stay at Dennis Cove Camping as it is the nearest site to town (an easy 10 minute flat walk along the picturesque Camel Trail). Fab location as parking in Padstow is a nightmare. It's a lovely basic, quiet site, but no shop or entertainment so depends what you want.... There is also Dennis Farm (I think that is the name) which is in the next field down, by the shore. Not stayed here though looks like a similarly basic site.

The other sites are all slightly out of town, up at the top of the hill, as far as I am aware.

Lovely area - we go most years and love it.

Thank You that has been a great help, We are leaning more towards woodlands just purely for the kids, as it does look like it has a lot for them to do and now Sunny Day Camper has said the toilets are nice I think we will book.  However I do love Padstow, but thank you Esther1 I think we will rule out Hidden Valley.
