My daughter and a group of her friends who are all 16, want to go camping in June once they have all finished their exams.
could anyone please tell me if there is a campsite close to Derby that could accommodate them.

Depending on what they want there's a good site at Birchover that has DofEs and school groups so would be more likely to welcome teens .

I asked the same question when my daughter turned 16 two years ago and wanted to do the same with her friends after her exams. I was generally told that they would struggle to find a site that would accept them without an adult and also because they were a single sex party, not sure if your daughter's friends are.

Try the Scoutbase website many of the sites will take teenagers.

Thanks for all you replies. They are a mixed group. We are experiencing the same as Tracy in that they need adult supervision. Thanks Robnchar will give that a try. Ollie do they have to be in scouts to use these sites. Thanks again to you all.

There are sites around that don't have a problem with teens. In fact I'd rather have a field of DofEs than some very idiotic 30 something . The worst antisocial childish groups tend to be 25 to 45 and intent on just getting drunk .
