Hi - hoping to go to snowdon next week - can anybody recommend a good campsite? Clean toilets, close to a pub and good for cycle riding? Thanks

Snowdon Valley Camping Cwellyn Arms - is on my list for when me and hubby have a go at climbing Snowdon
More importantly, it is a pub with a campsite and is set in a lovely location.

I would highly recommend Byn Gloch caravan park http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=1019

You could try Cae Du in Beddgelert.

Clean toilets, short walk into the village which has about 4 or 5 places that you can get a drink.

There is the forest to cycle in.

Cae du is a lovely site and it is close to the start of the Watkin path.  Nice path but has the largest ascent of all the paths.  You could always catch the snowdon sherpa bus up to Pen y Pass and take the pyg track and descend the watkin path to the valley.

I can recomend Cae Du, good for access to Snowdon, nice site but very strict on noise and only a five minute walk to Bedgellert for food and pubs.

The nice thing about the walk to Beddgelert is that you can do it using the back road, away from the traffic.

We've stayed at Bryn Gloch which was a lovely site and very popular. We walked up the Llanberis path which starts near the Snowdon railway. I think it was about 12 miles round trip from the car park opposite the railway. We had young ones with us so it took us over 7 hrs to complete but it was a brilliant free day out. There's halfway house (with a loo), the trains passing by to add interest and the views were spectacular. It was busy when we set off about 11am but we were on our own as we came down at tea time.
