I was wondering does any one on here in the Derby/Notts/Leicester area know who runs the small caravan site at Trent lock near Long Eaton? I've done numerous searches on the camp site search but to no avail! I did ask the landlord at the Steam Boat inn on the nearby Erewash Canal. But he couldn't help me either.

Is it the one on the other side from the pub? I thought that was Scouts or Boys brigade, not sure though??

No Col not the scout camp on the opposite bank of the river. There's one just behind the car park on the right hand side of Lock lane. If you go on Google Earth you can see it clearly from the aerial photographs and birds eye view, however on the gates both on the carpark side and on the river bank there's no contact details! It looks a small but tranquil place? And fairly local to me ideal for a quick getaway with the fishing tackle!!

It might be Sawley Marina caravan park, it is in UKS camp site search.
However it does not look to be small and tranquil, so may be not.

I'm afraid that's Not the one. Sawley Marina is a little further upstream and as you rightly point out it's a little more developed than the one I'm enquiring about. Ta for the reply anyway.

Ohh I know where you mean, you can see it from the carpark if I remember right. Is it caravans only though?
