Going to this site, not booked by me but someone else, tomorrow, and they charge for windbreaks

£4 per day so if you was staying for 10 days you do the maths,

Is this typical, or is it just this site

They are having a giraffe aren't they?

Sound like the very worst sort of site - charge extra for everything, then stick a further premium on for Bank Holidays, and do nowt for it.

Shame as that area is really quite nice, and they seem to get away with it as a result.

Hi, I wouldnt mind but they charge £40 per day for a 8 man tent, not too bad when 2 familys go in one tent, maybe thats why they do it

it would be for us

£40 tent
£4 windbreak
£3 bank holiday
£6 for 2 cars
£1 for a dog
£2 for our tents canopy
£1 for electric (cheap)

£57 a day, and that site has bad reviews too ha

and they charge for the use of their pool

i'd never visit a site that charges for extras such as windbreaks, hence why we mainly stick to sites that are a little more "rural" and don't have set pitches...

site owners can pretty much slap a charge on anything they want to (that's their prerogative) because there will always be campers willing to pay thru the nose just so they can stay in a particular location...

Years ago, this was a great site, maybe they just got greedy?

Just got back, and it wasnt as bad as it seemed, although we didnt use our windbreak, nobody checked to see whether we had one, and we did enjoy our stay
