What time are you travelling until?
We are setting off around midnight tomorrow (from Yorkshire) but will travel until we hit Devon/Somerset area. I think you need to be at your destination before about 9.00am Saturday when it will get busy!!
Bristol area is frequently hectic on a BH weekend.
you need to be thru avonmouth an the bridge by early doors sat ,before 7am,cos thats a bottleneck,if you stop on the m5,you need to get as close to avonmouth as you can fri night,so that you can get moving early sat cos that stretch of the m5 down to exeter will be chocca!!
I would get at least as far as Exeter and stop in the services, you will have to pay to stay over night.
Depends what time you can get on site but its a straight run on A30 to Newquay apart from the single carriage way near Temple, this bit will be bad Saturday morning so the earlier you can get away the better
Suspect it will be a while before you reach Gloucestershire but radio 2 have been announcing that the M5 southbound junctions 11-13 is slow due to over turned lorry. Average speed 15mph. It has been like that since this morning.
I would check the travel reports online before you leave and pack plenty of food & drink for the journey!
