am looking for a beachside site for a week in august, Tent only, 2 adults 3 kids 6.8.and 11

just want top be able to let them run wild for a week no hassle with roads, having to drive everywhere

as long as the tiolets, showers are clean, and maybe a playpark were not fussy

within 3 hours of manchester (ish)

Bagnol, tyddyn isaf, or white lodge all Anglesey. They are all beach side but you have to exit campsite to get to the beach in a very short walk so would require adult supervision and no play area at Bagnol.

Not sure how far you want to travel, but Scotland has more than it's fair share of beach sites.
I live in Aberdeenshire and have at least two sites right by the beach. Check out Banff or   Fraserburgh

Come to North Yorkshire, Whitby area, in fact all up the North East coast as far as Holy Island in Northumberland, beautiful scenery, lovely beaches, some good sites. to go to.

thanks for the replies, Banff looks awesome but 392 miles is too far!...want to be within 200 miles really,

I'll look at the northeast cost :)

I usually go to criccieth but I end up driving everywhere, I just want to to be able to play with the kids all week not drive round!!
