Just wondered if anyone knows of any cheap and cheerful campsites near Hunstaton, Cromer or Wells sort of area, good for kids and not too pricey.
We are looking to go in July, it seems to me that campsites are getting more expensive the more I look, lol, so I thought I'd ask advise from all you campers.
Many thanks for looking
Donna x
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Not sure what facilities you want but there are several sites around the Cromer / Sherringham area, one that springs to mind is Woodhill Park right on the coast road, does have a play area and small shop but no clubhouse etc, they also have a sister site Kelling Heath that has all the bells and whistles but I would assume this would be reflected in the prices, there is also a caravan club site Seacroft at Cromer, I would suggest doing a search on here for one of these sites and then looking for other sites within a certain area, I cant help much more on the regular sites in that area as I tend to stay on several CL's/ CS's a little more inland around the Aylsham area, If I think of any more I'll add them later.............Mark
------------- here today , where tomorrow?
yet another full timer,
About 5 miles from Cromer, Sherringham (which we prefer) is about another 5 mins on. Lots to do in the surrounding area. it has a large lake if you want to fish. I know there will be a lot of others on here who like Deersglade, you only need to read the reviews.
We always go to Pineview Caravan Camping in Briston, about 10 miles away from Sheringham it is excellent value for money with great facilities and caters for 15 caravans plus tents
A recommendation for Woodhill - we stayed for our first ever family camp holiday with 3 little boys and thought the ight was great. We never travelled more than 5 miles in any direction all the time we were there and the facilities were great.
Thank you Jenny, think we are going to book for July. Our budget is low this year and this looks ideal for us, with loads round and about (we have three girls) x
Have you looked at Yaxham Waters in Dereham? We have just come back from there, defo recommend it. We have 3 girls too. They loved the park and sand pits, the chickens, goats and fishing.
You could lso consider one of the CCC temporary holiday sites. In Wells there are two in the summer hols and they are only about 8 or 9 quid a night for a family. The one organised by the Notts DA is at the high school and has showers, toilets and use of the swimming pool, and the one organised by Norfolk ad Suffolk DA is at the primary shcool and has few facilities. both are only 5 mins walk to the quay and close to bus routes and cycle trails if you don't want to drive for a few days.

Glad you had a good time there! See you at Fforest Fields!
C&CC CS Shrublands Farm nr Northrepps. Although I think there is also an area for non-CCC members. We stayed last summer, no actual play area for kiddies but we camped in the large field which had a huge space in the middle which we played cricket etc. Easy reach of Cromer, Sheringham, broads, and if you don't mind a drive, Yarmouth.
Also good value for money IMO.
They have a website and reviews on here.
