Hi,
Just looking at booking for a weeks camping in July. Having just returned from Aberaeron which was our ideal camp site. Flat grass pitch with electric, tents pitched around a field and not in rows. Right by the sea but not up on a cliff top. Walk onto the beach then along it for about 2 mins and be in a lovely harbour town with a handful of shops and pubs. Did not need to drive unless venturing out for the day. Now I am trying to look for a camp site which basically has all these things but in a different location.
Anyone got any ideas?

Thank you - I will add it to my list. Doesnt matter about the beach being pebbley, I just like to walk on it, im not a sun worshipper (good thing too, the weather we#re having!)

South Cliff Caravan and camping park in Bridlington. Adjacent to the beach with level walk along the Promenade (or the beach) into the Town and Harbour.
There are 20 level grass tent pitches with electric hook up.
If you don't want to walk into town you can always catch the land train from the end of the Promenade close to the site

Blair Castle Camp site, Scotland is great, though not near a beach it has a river that runs along side it and is in the village of Blair Athol, with pubs and shops :)
We stayed at Aberaeron a couple of years ago and thought it was great too :)
