We have been to Seacroft in Cromer for the last 2 summer holidays. There is a small bar and cafe on site which has entertainment suitable for families. Also a small swimming pool on site. Walking distance to the beach and Cromer town.
There is always difficulty getting booked on due to its popularity but last year I just booked any available days in the fortnight I needed and kept checking the website to fill in the gaps - it worked out fine apart from having 8 bookings for a 2 week stay!
Manor Farm in East Runton is a nice site, walking distance from Cromer and the beaches, on the North Norfolk coast so plenty to do within easy driving distance.
Another lovely site is Deers Glade, not so many pitches as Manor Farm but you will need a car to get to Cromer etc from there, its not far tho, only about 6 miles I think. The toilets and showers are fab!
What sort of site do you like, individual pitches, or pitch where you like? Campfires? Clubhouse?
Hi thanks for your replies .Ive checked the seacroft one and its booked for the dates we need .
As for what we like ...well were not bothered about clubhouse but wouldnt be put off if the site had one , as for pitches we need hook up for caravan but prefer a bit of space for kids to play so dont want anything where they are packed like sardines lol .Play area is a bonus but not essential ...we tend to like the smaller sites that are friendly but MUST have clean shower toilet areas ...thankyou

Deers Glade then if you dont mind the travelling to the beach, Manor Farm is a bit bigger, still nice tho and if you are on EHU you wont be packed in. Another nice one is Bureside which is on the Broads, again a short drive to the seaside buts East Norfolk rather than North Norfolk. all of them have a play area, Bureside has a pub within walking distance and nice walks along the broads, Manor Farm has loads within walking distance but Deers Glade you need a car. Happy hunting
Pinewoods is VERY close to a great beach. Toilets could do with a bit of TLC but are clean. If the weather is good the beach is the place to be if it is bad take the little train to Wells for the Arcades !!!
Loads of CS and CL sites where it will be fairly quiet with room for the kids to play. Some like Birds Farm CS have a massive field for use as a play area away from the caravans. There are also a few Temporary Holiday Sites run by CCC that provide great value for money for families but they tend to have limited facilities although the one at Wells High School has use of showers and toilets plus it has an indoor swimming pool all for less than £10 a night for a family.

We stayed at Yaxham Waters in Aug two years ago, we have 3 children also 14, 11 & 8. The site is reasonably small but with an excellent farm shop. Camp fires are permitted and it was a great atmosphere on the site. toilet block was fairly large and newly built so was modern and kept very clean. Although not ideally located for beaches. Also a fishing lake on site. would definately use this site again if in the area.
Hope of some help.
