Hi All,

Thinking of taking the kids (3 boys- 14,11 & 8 yrs old) to Riverside in South Molton North Devon for a few nights during the Aug Summer holidays.

Would much appreciate any feedback on positives and negatives and any personal experiences. Have had a look at some the reviews and seems to be a nice site.

Thanks in advance.

I live local to the area. The site appears nice and you are really in a good location to explore North Devon. The only thing that might bother you is road noise, look on google earth and the site borders the A361 North Devon link road, which in Summer is always VERY busy. If you pitch away from the road this will of course reduce the noise, but something to be considered.

Its a Brilliant site, with a very large play park for the kids. Very nice facilities and kept very very clean. A nice cafe on site with fab food. The staff very helpfull and friendly. The river is great if its hot. We camped through the gate where the lake is and we had that area to ourselves, and it was fab, the kids and the dog loved it. We are all going back there next year for 10 nights. Its a brilliant price also.

You do get a little road noise and the road can get very busy in the daytime, It didnt bother us as we were to busy having a good time, and like i said its daytime noise rather than at night time, when its a lot less, but you find that with a lot of sites nowdays. They have been doing a lot of upgrading since we were there last year so looking forward to seeing whats different next year

Thanks for info all, the kids are very keen to visit. So we are going to do 4 nights at Summer Valley in Cornwall and then head up to Riverside for another 4 nights. Let's just hope the sun shines in August!
