hi, we are going to try and get away the last week of the school holidays in our tent will be the first time with all three, unfortunately we havent really found a great real child friendly campsite, with a park suitable for younger children, child friendly is definitely a must for us as 2 of our children have special needs they are 8 and 4 and our youngest is 1 this week, any ideas or suggestion greatly received, dont mind coast or inland as they are happy on the beach or going on walks and picnics, thank you in advance

If your kids are the outdoor, adventurous type - River Dart, Devon never fails to please. Also in a perfect area to explore the coast & moors.

Warren farm brean? Its quite cheap, has park running the length of the camping field so you can let the 2 eldest go by themselves as its right there.
Has soft play an amusements for wet weather, petting animals, entertainment, shop and in the summer holidays it puts on archery and climbing wall free of charge

I suspect that you need to be clearer about what you regard as child friendly and what you are looking to spend. River Dart is lovely, parks like that will be busy though in the school holidays and will be more expensive than a site without a park attached.
Are you looking for lots of activities, just quiet open space or something in between?

Agreed.
If you want stuff to do on site, it will be pricey in school hols. Unless you're looking for a more basic site with say just a playground and then do all your activities off site?

We stayed at Dolbryn a few years ago and it was one of the most child friendly sites I have stayed on.

thank you for your replies, will have a look at them all, i meant child friendly as in has family bathrooms, a park which is enclosed and suitable for younger ones and older ones, no lakes or rivers children can fall in. Sorry for not being clearer, dont need a huge park with loads of activities as my children cant do them.
We have been to broadhembury and it is lovely and the owners are great with the children it has a small field for playing football, park for older and younger ones and a fridge, freezer and microwave room, and a large family bathroom, and a small shop which you can order fresh bread etc from in morning, we just wanted to find someting like this but in a different area.
We have also been to eastfleet farm which is rgeat but park not so good for younger ones and family bathroom was quite small but had a great restaurent on site and they did takeaway. has nice walks and a football field.
