The site has a few leaflets of walks directly from the site.
You must drive up the Vale of Ewas to Llanthony Priory is set. You can park at the Priory and walk back to the main road, turn left and then after about 20 yards right near the Farm and then up the Cwm Bwchel valley (signposted) to the top of the hill you go right almost walking back on your self but to the edge of the ridge. Fabulous views up the valley and down to Llanthony. Path brings you back into the valley then it's along the road back to the Priory.
From the site itself turn left. Walk to the next cross roads (couple of hundred yards)and into the field opposite and that brings you out on a road - turn left and walk up a very steep hill, and walk and walk until you come to a finger footpath sign to your right on to the Beacons way. Very steep but there is no gain without pain and you can see the Malverns from the top. A liitle way along the top heading towards the trigg point there is a turn to your left. Go down there on to a road and follow it all the way down the hill. It crosses two roads on your way down and at the second junction (a mile or so) you cross into a field, cross the railway and down to a Pub on the main road. Turn left and back to the site.
Where you meet the main road on the last walk you can walk back there another day from the site and cross the road following a path beside some houses. Into a field and keep in the same direction into next field and follow signs up the hill (just a gentle incline really) across about six fields until you come to a road. Turn right and follow it down the hill to Llanteems and turn left across a field and an orchard on to the main road you started on and walk through the village of Llanvihangel turning right in the middle of the village and walk down the hill to the river. Cross over the bridge to your right and that minor road takes you back to the site.
You need OL13 Ordnance Survey Map for this area.
You will always get up early at this site as the first trains come through about 6am and then every half hour till gone 10pm. So to avoid the noise you will need to be off site walking quite a lot!!!! Pitches 31-33 and 51-53 are probably the furthest from the train line.
Have fun
Phil
