I'm all for individual pricing as a standard pitch price can be really unfair.

A few years ago we were pitched on a site where you simply choose where you want to pitch and pay for it with optional EHU.

When it came to paying in the morning....

Us...
2 adults,1 small campervan with EHU = £16.

Neighbours....
Huge tent, 4 adults, 5 children, 2 dogs, 2 cars, 1 trailer, 4 canoes and 2 bikes without EHU = £14.

To add insult to injury, we spent most of the day boiling water in our electric kettle for them as their gas had run out !

Personally I prefer itemised pricing.
Sometimes I go camping on my own or with middle son, sometimes the whole family goes.
I would expect to pay more as a fmaily than I would as a solo camper, and rightly so. The more people, the more the facilities get used.

I always set a "per night" fee that I am happy to pay and then find a site that fits with my budget.
