We went a few years ago but stayed in one of their static vans.
The site was under water when we went with HUGE puddles all around the site. I wandered down to the touring/camping area but the entrance was blocked by an enormous puddle. Not to be put off, I walked round the very edge! The toilet block looked OK and the pitches looked to be in reasonable condition but some were very boggy and others totally submerged.
The children's club during the day was OK but very basic and their entertainment in the evening was OK but nothing special. Never really stayed for the adult evening entertainment as we tended to head off back to the van around 9pm. The pool complex was pretty basic but did the job. During busy periods you were limited to 1 hour. There is a small play area, football area and a small crazy golf course. There is space to ride bikes/scooters around - the site was very quiet when we went.
The on site food was very good when we went - the pub meals were excellent value and plenty of it. The takeaway was a bit pricier but the food was acceptable quality.
Not very much to do in the surrounding area. We drove past Stanwix Park and secretly wished we were staying there as it looked lovely.
We got our break at a good rate - I wouldn't have wanted to have paid full price. It was nothing special and we haven't been back and have no intention of returning. Personally I think there are better sites around that area.
