We've just finished setting up at Gullivers World CCC site, ready for our weekend at the Formula 1 at Silverstone.
If you read the reviews from last year there is a lot of complaints about the manager and not being ale to get out of the site.
It is the first time we have been, but It's a different management team this year, and they can't do enough for you to ensure that you can get parked outside the barriers so you can get to go to the circuit as early as needed.
The site isn't full so if you need somewhere to stay for the F1 give them a shout, the phone number is 01908 679343.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I'm very jealous! Hope the weather is good and you have a great time. I haven't seen forecast for the weekend but think tomorrow is supposed to be the worst. The racing should be good. Come on Button and Hamilton

Before 7am to get in without sitting in traffic :-)
And if you look at the reviews for last year it was mentioned a lot!
I appreciate that it was 2005 but I think we left home (about a mile and half from the C&CC site) at about 10/11.00 am on race day. Some queuing on the A43 but they convert the dual carriageway to four lanes going towards Silverstone in both directions from Northampton and Oxford. I don't know if you have seats or general access but for the latter there might be an advantage in being there earlier to get a good spot.
I'd love to be there, hope that the weather improves for the race, I hope to go for the three days next year so would be interested to hear about your experience both on this site and travelling to the circuit, have a great time.

From reports on the local news it is a bit of a mess there at the mo. Reports of 3+ hours trying to get into site, campers being moved off the camping fields onto the car parks because they are waterlogged and anyone with day tickets tomorrow (ie not camping) being told not to turn up as there is no where for them to park.
I've just read a similar thing on teletext saying day general parking ticket holders for saturday to stay away as the car parks are unusable, and they want to give it chance to be ready for Sunday as are 125,000 thousand due on Sunday !!!!!! how does that work ? .....those tickets are very expansive !? fancy the venue telling you NOT to come.... will they refund !!!!!!????????
------------- I am lost, i'v gone to look for myself, If I should return before I get back, Please ask me to wait.
I would be gutted if I had paid for a ticket, planned my trip and looked forward to it for months to be told don't turn up, I'm sure refunds will be issued but that's not the point. Hopefully lessons will be learnt so that this situation will not arise again!
