I'm searching for a quiet campsite for an end of July family trip in our rather large Royal Pescara 8. I've been using the camp site search but would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
I'm hoping to find a quiet site, with a few basic facilities, most importantly dog friendly and allows campfires....... and ideally with trees/woodland.
Children are teenagers so just need space to kick a ball....... and good walking direct from site would be perfect.
Fairly flexible on location within England & Wales.
Not much of a wish list!! If a little gem like this does exist please share.
Thanks
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Thanks Sally & TraceyD, you're right Fforest fields looks a great site and ticks all the boxes, bad timing for me, we're planning to go away same weekend as the Royal Show, so fully booked.
We are staying at GaerHyfrd Corwen, it has a small area for the kids and Goalie Net, next door to that is a dog area its not massive but adequate. Out from the site there are plenty of walks and to the top of the road there is a Organic Farm produce where you can eat and buy produce. This is our 2 nd day its peaceful and lovely here. Its a cc site, not sure if they allow fires though. Tel no is 01490412189 Warden Is Called Nerys .
Thanks for the suggestion miloson, I really want a site that allows fires but taking a closer look at Gaer Hyfryd. Welsummer added to the list, thanks Poppy.
I'm also looking at Thistledown

Does anyone have any experience of staying during school holidays?
Would be great to have a few more recommends for a quiet site with loads of space between pitches, thanks
Take a look at trellyn Woodland Camping, have not been yet ourselves but looks idyllic, and do want to go, it
did work out more expensive than other places, but depends on what you can afford. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=5050
