Apparently according to the Daily Mail in collaboration with the Met Office it's going to be wet & showery & unseasonal for at least the next 7-10 days. Due to the Gulf Stream.
Supposed to be getting warmer from August but who knows?!
Where are you going in the UK? Some areas (e.g Cornwall for example) haven't been that badly hit with rain.
maybe i will cancel my week off work, I haven't booked anything yet, try to leave that to last minute. when in august is it supposed to get warmer and i will look to reschedule.
supposed to be better nearer the end of the month going into August - but hay ho who really knows and the forecast is changing everytime you look at it!

I`ve given up worrying about weather now, we go on the basis if we can pitch in the dry and pack up in the dry we will cope with anything else. Mind you, we have pitched and packed up in the rain a lot
I go prepared for wet weather, make sure we have plenty to do in the tent if we can`t get out and about much, look for things in the area to do if it`s raining, plan a few simple meals in case we are forced to cook in the porch area (we usually grab a takeaway, or get something we can just add potatoes, veg or salad to to make a meal) then we just go and enjoy ourselves. If we get good weather it`s a bonus, if we don`t we are prepared for it
I have been tracking the weather for about 3 - 4 weeks for the best weather in Scotland. Generally the west coast from Oban and heading north seems to be the best with mostly white cloud and sometimes two days in the trot without rain and occasional bit of sun. Now that's what the met forecast said and is still the case looking at this thurs, fri and possibly saturday. But then again!!!

Well the weather forecast in Norfolk has been torrential rain every day for the past god knows how long, and whilst we have had odd heavy downpours from time to time the past few days, the majority of the time it has been sunny and gorgeous, having said that its falling down at the minute!
if you tap jetstream into google you will get a few options but click on the one that mention's 16 day forcast, this shows you the position of the jetstream at the moment and you can move it on in 3 hour jumps up to 16 days,
and as you will see the position at the moment is below the country and it should be way above scotland thats causing the low pressure and bad weather, if you see when its at july 26th it has move to were it should be bringing better weather.
i am also watching this as i am going down cornwall on the 28th gwithian site at st ives
