Hi all, anyone got any good recommendations for a site near here. The ones on the search facility don't have any good reviews and I'm looking for a child friendly one, maybe with a park.
I have found a naturist one nearby but don't think it's our thing
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Looking for something a bit closer than 40 mins, hopefully about 5/10 mins away.
I know Gullivers is grotty, we have been a couple of times, but my friends want to take their kids and mine want to tag along so going to have to brave it again!
Hoping to tie it in with a few nice days on a site but if the only one nearby is the naturist one, I can see us driving there and back in a day up to now

There is a nice site in Banks Southport, Riverside, This is about 30mins from Gullivers world, I only live down the road from Gullivers and I drive to this campsite a few times a year,
I would try and talk your friend out of going to Gullivers it really is grot for the money.
I would put the one at Banks at far more than 30 minutes from Warrington - but at straight forward run.
Gulliver's is great for small kids but there isn't an awful lot for the older kids - the main attraction for me is the Antelope which is a figure of eight wooden coaster.
Last time we went to Gulliver's was for Christmas, and the kids had a great time, although I hate to admit it was probably the last time for them, now that htey are older.
Yes the park is a bit tired looking, but I have always found things like the loos to be clean, and the staff friendly. We used to go quite a bit when mine where younger.
