Glad you enjoyed it!!
Proud to be from Yorkshire ; )

Small world. Our first house together was on the big estate next to the Dog and Gun, then between houses we rented on Navigation Drive, and now between houses we rent up at Rawdon. Move back to Baildon on Monday to a little new build house which should see us out

My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it
Oh we love that part of the country too. Can't wait to go back down next month.
Where about are those stepping stones? They look like a bit of fun. Would not mind seeing them if they are close to the two sites we are visiting in a few weeks (Jasmine Park and Knight Stainforth).

The stepping stones are at Bolton Abbey, which is about 25 miles from Knight Stainforth. Try and fit in a trip to Forbidden Corner too if you like a giggle. It's an amazing day out. For a rainy day at Knight Stainforth (you'll probably get at least one!) a trip to White Scar caves is also well worth it.

Thanks so much Karen. That's def on our to see and do list. Hopefully the stones are not covered over when we visit. Yes, the White Scar Caves look good too. Any other suggestions welcome.
How was your recent visit to KS? We can't wait to go

If you go to Bolton Abbey there's a lovely walk along the river up to the strid. There's also a lovely walk from Knight Stainforth itself - it's about 7 miles and gives you stunning views across to Pen-y-ghent and Ingleborough. Let me know if you want details of it. A day out to Malham cove is also worthwhile (about 8 miles away).
Knight Stainforth was fantastic last week. As always. The river was a bit too high for paddling / swimming (not surprising given the recent weather) but it was stunning to look at. It's the first time I've ever been there and not had it rain during the day though. Honestly, it rains a lot in the Dales!
It's a shame we're booked up for August, otherwise we might have come to say hello! Hope you enjoy it as much as we always do.

Hi Gail re eating places: The Fleece at Addingham has just undergone a full refurb reports state food is top notch, place is packed out, same owners have just purchased the Craven Heifer at the top of the village, this again is undergoing a total refurb at the moment, i'm told this will be a traditional pub/eating place. Just up the A59 at Blubberhouses you have the Hopper Lane pub & a little further on there's Millstones ( near the giant golfballs ) this does a cheap earlybird carvery on Thursday nights
