Hi all..

Looking to do a last minute dash this weekend coming 21/07, for just one night to initiate my Missus into camping.

We are looking for a site that is dog friendly, has showers/good facilities and has a pub/restaurant local that will allow our Jack in with us..

Travel from liverpool is not an issue, nor is price paid, I just want my missus to really enjoy it and get the buzz!

Thanks so much in advance for any reccomendations offered,

Kev

Try Knight Stainforth near Settle. Lovely site with great facilities. Shower block is excellent, there's a dog exercising field and the pub a 10 minute walk up the lane (Craven Heifer) allows well behaved dogs.

http://www.doggiepubs.org.uk/

This website is very good to help you plan you trips out, you will be amazed how many pubs do allow dogs.

Top name for a dog ours has the same name.

Thanks for the responses..
Clitheroe was our first thought as I hail from around there and have staggered out of the Edisford bridge pub a few more times than I care to say! Unfortunately, they are booked up, and ask for a minimum 2 night stay.

Doggiepubs is a site I have used in the past, but had forgotten about, so thank you very much for jogging my memory!

It looks like Knight Stainforth will be our first foray together, here's hoping!

Thanks very much to everyone who has replied, if anybody else has suggestions, please post them.

Woodclose looks good Sharon! But being a biker, it'd be a busmans holiday! Kirby is never far from our places to ride to on a weekend.

I used to serve the green and white caravan at Devils Bridge with rolls for their bacon sarnies, believe it or not, they used to take 2000 rolls on a bank holiday weekend!

Just back from our night away, Thanks so much, you were spot on!

Wendy enjoyed it and now we are going to upgrade sleeping bags and cooking equipment!
