Where kids can paddle and play in their dinghy!

We had planned on going to Park Foot at Pooley Bridge this weekend for 8 nights, however the better weather appears to be in Yorkshire!

Any recommendations? We have a caravan, need electric hook up and have a dog.

Thanks in advance!

Could try Leekworth at Middleton In Teesdale.

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=9931

It's County Durham rather than North Yorks but the site is next to the river Tees so the kids can have fun. Dogs are allowed and there are pubs/cafes that have areas that you can take the hound in with you.

Good luck with your search

Try Sleningford Watermill near Ripon. The site is on the river and it's lovely. There's even a small beach. When we were there we were kayaking and swimming in the river as it settles into a pretty calm pool. Not sure what it's like after prolonged rain though.

We have pitches available. No stream on site but in the next village (Brompton) there is a lovely stream suitable for playing in. See our website homepage for a picture.

We always visit the stream at Brompton when we are at Jasmine Park, it's lovely and popular with families

There is a stream at Cote Ghyll in Osmotherley. It's not very big but may be slightly bigger at the moment due to the recent heavy rainfall. We went two years ago to this lovely site. It's only a 5min walk into the village too.
