Go back to old school camping. No ehu's, basic facilities, no tv reception, no mobile phone reception.
Campers & caravanners alike used to pitch up in a field, have conversations with their neighbours. Wind breaks did just that, not used to cordon off pitches for privacy. TV's and Wi-Fi are conversation killers. There are very few people who want to converse with others nowadays. Kids need their i-doc/phone/player/ds/ps gizmos.
If I ever had enough money to open a campsite (I am looking) it would be just this. Back to the old days. No huge 8 person tents, a 4 person for mum and dad and a couple of pup tents for the kids.
I may not make as much money as large commercial sites but the whole experience would be more pleasurable for those wanting a quiet peaceful retreat in the countryside.
You mentioned those nice folks who we do not have to deal with, I do my utmost to just stop by for a chat to ensure everything is ok, have a laugh or whatever with those who are considerate............not something I do with the others. Keeping a professional relationship with these makes it easier when it comes to having a word. To be fair, the majority are good responsible and considerate folks, but after 3 years you get an "eye" or a "gut" feeling for those you feel will be a problem.

Can I just say we take a TV camping, a small one with built in DVD player, so if the weather is c**p as it has been mostly this year, we can watch a DVD before bed after playing cards. We ALWAYS keep the sound down and ALWAYS observe quiet times. The reason we take the TV is because it`s a lot cheaper to replace an £80 TV if something happens, rather than replace the £500+ laptop we used to take to watch DVD`s on. If the weather is nice,by that I mean not persisting it down, there is nothing we like better than sitting outside and chatting to neighbours, the TV is there as an alternative if the weather is bad. Apart from that one nod to our teenage kids needing a few home comforts  the only other gizmos we take are our mobile phones, so we can `part ways` at times and find each other later on, plus my parents aren`t in the best of health and I need to be contactable for them.
We use windbreaks, mainly so we can cook outside and use them as shelter from the wind, but we have been known to use them to fence ourselves off on occasions when we have had frequent visits from neighbours dogs  or, on one occasion, had someone just wandering onto our pitch and playing with our swingball at 7 am when we were still sleeping ! We were woken up to the sounds of them happily thumping away and it wasn`t even a child doing it ! After one visit too many, including them just wandering into our tent, we coralled ourselves in.
This year we are taking our new dog away for the first time and are unsure how he will be with all the comings and goings of a campsite. We will see how he is when we get to site, but if needs be, for his sake and for the sake of any neighbours he may upset by barking (he gets excited when he sees a ball game and wants to join in ), then we may have to fence ourselves off again. That doesn`t mean we don`t want to chat or we are antisocial, we just want to have a pleasurable camping experience and want our neighbours to have one as well.
We also take a large tent `cos we like our space and we like EHU pitches so we can charge mobiles, watch a DVD if we are stuck inside etc etc.
None of the above make us bad campers. We always treat camp site facilities with respect, we don`t leave a mess, we clean sinks out after washing pots, we recycle if the facilities are there to, we abide by quiet time rules,we chat to neighbours and invite them over, we help other campers if we see they need help (even down to OH and son helping a couple of elderly campers fix their caravan water pump and even driving round to find the part needed and then installing it for them, made two good friends that day we did  ), so c`mon guys, the people in the big tent with the TV and barricaded behind windbreaks aren`t always the campers from hell.

As previously mentioned "to be fair the majority are good responsible and considerate folks", however as also previously mentioned there are also those who take the mickey!
I think Beezers you fall into the "good responsible and considerate" category.
We escort all campers and caravan/motorhomes to our EHU pitches. We try to strike up jovial conversations whilst we are explaining where everything is (facilities/EHU/water/beach access etc) and where the pitch boundaries are (some are not marked) explaining that for example this is pitch 4 and we need to put another 4 campers in between them and the end of the row, so their 8 man tunnel needs to come out lengthways. From most we get "yes, brill that's great". We know they are going to be lovely people. However from some we get "....but we want it to go parallel to the back" or "humph, is that it". An 8 berth tent can cover more ground than a twin axle caravan with full length awning, so by the time the windbreaks are up we struggle to then accommodate the remaining 4 campers. The chances are that even after going to great lengths to explain that other folks have also booked, just like they have, they still don't get it. Then for the duration of their stay they scowl at us whenever we pass them by, refusing to acknowledge when we speak wishing them a "good morning" etc. Then when we have to ask them to lower the volume on their music or voices after 10.30pm, we are seen as harassing them...........We/I really appreciate the good campers like you "Beezers", especially when you are willing to strike up good jovial banter with us. Everyday is a long day for us, but the more jovial banter we have makes it a whole lot easier to put up with the inconsiderate sods!!!!
