Has anyone used the Bleak House Farm CL in/at York please?..and if so,any views,good or bad?

Yep..That's the one..

I have had a look  via Google earth and there appears to be a load of vehicles parked up(crammed!) at the site...So not sure what's going on there..

Hi

We have stayed there a few years ago, I think it was about six quid a night then which is good value as it is so close to York. It has a bus stop at the beginning of the lane for York or you could even walk it if thats your thing.
The site itself is pleasant enough but with no frills attached, just very handy for visiting the city.

Used to stay there when our daughter was at York Uni. It's very handy for the campus. The CL was pretty basic and yes there were some caravans stored there.

As I recall, the golf club and uni playing fields were close by and there were a couple of pubs within easy walking distance too.
Overall it was OK for a few nights - but this was a few years ago.
