Is there anyone out there that has camped at Shell Island in Wales, and had a grocery delivery from a supermarket? I've checked with them all and only Asda accept, I'm just concerned i'll put a big order in and they wont fulfil it.
Is there anyone than can reassure me its fine, theyve turned up before.
obviously I don't want it delivering to the tent door, I'll pick up from the main car park. I'm just hoping to save some room in the car.
Thanks

Hi, I have used Asda for delivery to camp sites plently of times, but not for Shell Island. Why not contact the camp site and ask them, as i am sure they will be able to advise you if anyone else has used Asda.

2013 Nothing as yet , trying to get new boyfriend to go camping soon. Selling Maritisa 700 , so we can put it towards a VW Camper.
I'd check with the site first - I think they might consider it wasn't in their interest for guests to have supermarket deliveries within yards of their own general store and other retail outlets.
Also the driver may have to wait for the tide (the causeway's not open all day every day), only to arrive and possibly be turned away by the gatekeeper or reception.
As robnchar says, there are supermarkets available a few miles away in either direction, and most urgently-required items can be obtained on site.

I am aware of the alternatives, but as there is a few of us going we're hoping to save a wee bit of space in the vehicles with a combined order from Asda. Asda have accepted the address as an address to which is in their delivery area. However, I didn't want us all to 'put all our eggs in one basket' so to speak, and Asda to cancel on the day.
I'm also very aware of the causeway, and have already checked that its open for the time of delivery. Hacksaw Bob, next you'll have Shell Island say you can only buy onsite, and that you cant bring food in from outside!
If only Ocado would deliver, I know I'd have no worries...
