There was a tent show there when we visited Mevagissey a few weeks back so we popped in to have a nose around, the show seemed like just a store display nothing grand and on first glance the pitches were packed like sardines! We cheekily wandered down to the beach to discover this was open to everyone not just 'residents' then went into the main concourse to find everything but the pool was open to the public! I had a lovely cream tea and hubby had a local ale while the girls played in the soft play area.

I would have been very disappointed had we payed £49 a night for 7 nights at this site even if the pool did look lovely (but very crowded).

I believe the beach in front of the camp site is, strictly, private and that the beach in front of the village is public. Not sure how (or how well) this is policed though.

The clubhouse is open to the public (indeed, they use it for wedding functions and the like) - probably the only way to make it pay. Also the gym and pool are advertised as being open to public membership.

We go in September, when the vast majority of pitches are empty - much better!
