Don't know if they'll have vacancies but we love Highburn House in Wooler. Nothing on the site except a couple of swings for the little ones but it's only a 10 minute walk into Wooler for pubs, restaurants, shops etc and also swimming baths if the weather is as miserable as usual.

Kielder village campsite is quite good. Right in the heart of Kielder forest, great for cycling, walking, fishing, water activities, bird of prey centre, swimming or just relaxing with a picnic, assuming the weather is good!!
