I didn't think you were naming and shaming them so much as expressing your disappointment that it didn't work out for you on this occasion.
It's pretty damming for the site, whatever you want to call it. I suspect a lot of those who have read this thread wouldn't choose to go there having read this.
The reason I keep using UKCS is the fact that I get mostly honest reviews about campsites in the UK......and just because one person may have had a bad experience doesn't mean that I would dismiss it out of hand....I'd do what I always do and read all the other reviews and make up my own mind!
Debs pointed out that this is one of her favourite campsites, so she has experience of the site to make the comparison......and she hasn't exactly slated them has she?

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
It sounds similar to one of my favourite camp sites - absolutely brilliant during early and late season but not so good during the long school holidays, and the August bank hol is a nightmare, it would put Glastonbury to shame. Tried it one year and it was awful, so for that very reason I won't camp there now at this time of year, but it didn't put me off going at other times and I camp there several times a year, just not in August.

Such a shame especially if its one of your favourite sites.
I recently camped up the road at Kelling Heath and passed the site whenever we went out and both me and OH said how busy it looked.
Maybe the school holidays didn't help - but please try again after the hols if possible and maybe mention then the reason why you felt the need to leave early.
I will definately be going back, just will avoid peak season! It was disappointing but I wont let a one off weekend spoil all the other lovely times I have had there
