We stayed at Cairnsmill on the outskirts of St Andrews that accepted large tents. We had a 6 man Khyam Ridgidome at the time. They had a bar and small indoor pool - but son no 2 had his arm in plaster at the time so we did not use the pool - we did however frequent minor injuries a good few times though!!
that was one of the sites we looked at, will give them a call and see if they can accomodate, its not exactly high season we are planning on going ( late september)

Just did a campsite search on here and Nydie caravan and camping site St Andrews takes family tents and from the picture there are some very large tents on site..Just click on campsite search and click County and type in Fife then click search, that will bring up all sites in Fife.

As VangoMan02 suggests, try Nydie near St Andrews. We stayed there last August and I seem to remember they had a few larger family sized tents. It's a lovely site with stunning views.

What about Pillars in Falkland, not right next to St Andrews but a lovely area. New Toilets and showers next to the cafe. Camping in a field with great views or more enclosed in the Orchard.Pillars of Hercules

I have just had lunch with a friend at this place. Had a wee nose at the two camping fields (as you do!). The toilet block is lovely, all brand new. The camping fields are very nice too. One is next to the orchard. They allow small campfires. Will need to camp here sometime next year as it's only 15mins from home so ideal for a last minute get away.

We are also going to be at Nydie for airshow - fantastic site - big open field, good facilities, lovely owners, dont like bar/club house at night - prefer to make our own enterainment round campfire with said marshmallows. Six+ families going together should be nice weather too.
