The Camping and Caravanning Club site at Adgestone has a lot to offer. It does have a pool and seems to attract at least some larger groups from what I have seen. The site reviews and links etc have the details of facilities.
As a tip, many of the Isle of Wight campsites offer packages that include the car ferry cost. Although these represent a saving it is worth comparing the cost of the of cheap overnight (Wightlink Nightflyer) fares if purchased direct - if that is a practical option for you. Due to the reliance of campers on the car ferrys, you will probably find that sites are more accommodating when it comes to arrival and departure times. On my last three visits I have arrived before 8.00am at sites (Adgestone and Carpenters Farm) without any objections.
This might be worth a look, http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=3078 it's been a few years since we stayed there so not sure what it's like now or the prices but it was definately suited more for families than couples.

yet another full timer,
Not sure this is cheap for you but google Waverley park, just been at beginning of August.
lovely views over the Solent, accepts tents, tourers etc,has heated outdoor swimming pool and clubhouse with regular if not everyones cup of tea entertainment, they do deals with red funnel ferries and personaly i thought it reasonably priced.Be aware though plenty goes on in August on the Isle of Wight including Cowes week which is booked up at least a year ahead on this site.

There are plenty of sites that offer all in deals including the ferry, but you really need to read the small print most only allow for units upto 6 meters long and 2.2 meters high when it comes to motorhomes, unfortunately I don't think we'll be heading back anytime soon as ours is just over 8 meters long and and just over 3meters high, had a quote of over £250 return, it has long been known that the Isle of Wight ferry's are the most expensive in the world but £250 for what amounts to just over an hours worth of travelling in total has got to be one of the biggest rip offs ever.
