Hi , couple of days ago i asked you for ideas on woolacombe campsites , now we have decided that in october it will getting colder , so we could pay to camp for £60 or stay in a caravan for £89 .So for the extra £29 we have no hassle of putting the camper up , or getting cold and wet . Now we have just got to decide witch park , has anyone stayed at either of the two parks ? Woolcombe Bay or Twitchens House which has the best views and the best layout . thanks

Personally I prefer Twitchen House, we stayed there last year and the year before, had lovely sea views. You can use all of the facilities on their four sites, so there is always lots to do. This was the view from our caravan.
We had our tourer at Twitchen on seasonal pitch for 2 years, great site just turned out to be too far for us. havent stayed at Woolacomeb bay so can not comment on that site. but would def return to Twitchen if the time was right
Another vote for Twitchen, we have stayed on both and Twitchen is smaller and quieter. Woolacombe Bay is bigger and has more facilities and entertainments but can use the facilities on all three sites so you get the best of both worlds.

Stayed at Woolacombe Bay in a static in May, it was a Sun Holiday so maybe we got the oldest vans but our van was not very special, it was basic but ok once we settled in with all our things around us. We've had better sun holiday vans in Haven and Park resort sites.
Woolacombe Bay is a smallish site but you can use the facilities of the other sister parks. It needs a bit of updating and looks a bit tired. Having said that, it has a good shop, entertainment (not sure in Nov) bar and pool.
Its on a bit of a hill so would not be brilliant if you have mobility issues as need to walk either up or down the hill to get to and from the main complex but is relatively quiet as holiday parks go. The pool was empty in May (no lifeguards though on any of the sites so need to be with kids under 16 all the time if they are in the pool).

hi tillytoes, we stayed at both woolacombe bay and easywell farm(aug) we found that easwell gave us the best value for money as you can buy your bus ticket when you book and get them alot cheaper than buying them once you get there , which means you get to use the top park (golden coast) without having to pay top money .
if you were to camp at easywell i would pay the extra for hardstanding base( gravel) which is d field which is the most sheltered from the wind as you are in the dip ,plus to can get ehu, own water tap and tv aerial point (thats if you take a tv of course)
i have booked already for aug 2013 (i know but i find it good value for money in the summer holidays)
