I'm looking for a small site that I can book as a whole for a weekend early next summer (6/7 or 13/14 July) ... alternatively a nice site with a private field.

At a guess there would be around 40/50 people inc kids and some caravans as well as tents. We'd want to play music (but not into the wee small hours) and would need some shower/loo facilities but fine if fairly basic.

Location is flexible but Hants/Surrey is the base for a number of the people so a definite South East bias. Needs to be a pretty spot and a pub within staggering distance would be the icing on the cake.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Why not look at sites which have rally's 17 Or if you want some electric why not look at a Cl /Cs site, you could take over the whole site so not bother anyone else!

Visit Llandrindod Wells! Great scenery, walks, cycling, red kites. Ideal for exploring Mid Wales.

If it is not too far Banham Zoo (Applewood Caravan Site) has a rally field with toilets. Last time we were there, the Norfolk Goldwing Club held their rally there. The pub is no more than a 3 minute walk there, or a 6 min stagger back.

Thanks for the suggestions - like the look of the Banham Zoo site (although may be a bit too far for some). Will definitely make the shortlist though.

Hi,

I tried to book a site last year for a group of 10 families and thought about a rally field, however, when i tried to book this type of field i was told that you had to be a club or registered organisation to do this, i ended up visiting several sites and speaking to the owners face to face before i found somewhere,  good luck in  your search.

How about speaking to  a farmer in the location of your choice, hiring some porta loos and putting up a marquee or cheap gazebo,s.  J xx

Looking at logistics and costs I think the farmer route could be the best bet. Will post on a few local forums and see what ideas spring up!
