Plenty of people (including some mad people on here!) camp all year round.
The best advice is to be prepared - lots of layers including thermals, wet weather gear, wellies, waterproof coats, hat, scarf, gloves, a onesie or warm PJs for bedtime, good quality sleeping bags, fleece blankets, hot water bottles..... That little lot should keep you warm during the day and at night.
If you have EHU then a fan heater can help take the chill off at the beginning and end of the day.
I am going away for Halloween in my caravan but I may as well be sleeping in a tent as the van has no insulation or double glazing and so isn't very warm!!
