hello last year we thought about taking our van away for Christmas but never got round to doing it as didn't know where to go,just 2 of us so we don't want to be too isolated as feel this could end up bit depressing, just us in a field alone!
we love the sea/water so a site near either would be good,or maybe a trip over to France? anyone tried this, wheres best to go please, advise and opinions very welcome.thanks Lynne

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Cofton Country Holidays near Dawlish Warren is open all year round.
Birchwood Tourist Park near Wareham Forest and Sandbank is also open all year round.
Not sure about any sites nearer to you though, as I seldom travel too far from home when camping in the winter in case of bad road conditions.

CSMA Whitemead in the Forest of Dean - pricey but it's kind of like camping at centerparcs - great pool, gym - mainly civil service and teachers clientele so quite a nice atmosphere.
We have not stayed over Christmas but ere there between Christmas and new Year last year and have booked to do the same again. (there is no phone signal so you would need to use the pay phone or drive 1/2 a mile or so for a signal to check in with family and friends on Christmas Day.
The Wye Valley and Severn Estuary are nearest waterways.
