needing information on above site as intending going there next july cheers

hi,went this year with wife and my twin 5yrs old boys, nice site but felt that the tent fields were an after thought as they were a distance from the site shop,pub and pool,

also depending were you are the wind comes up the valley off the beach in a funnel affect which for us was not good as we got caught in the high winds which damaged my new vango tent (first ever outing).

we did have a good holiday (patched tent up ) and we went to easwell farm in the summer holidays got the bus pass(booked them when booking pitch as alot cheaper) and used the other sites for no extra charge, have booked easwell for next year as i get cheap two weeks and get to use the top sites at no extra charge.

We went to Twitchen House which is part of the Woolacombe bay holiday parks group. It was ok, very steep in places and the walk down to Woolacombe we only did once as it was muddy and slippy and really hard going both down and back. There seemed a lot to do - the late teens just went to the amusement arcade & the indoor pool (which was a bit small they said)

That said, the facilities on-site were ok, staff very helpful, loos/showers/plate washing etc very good. We stayed on a super pitch with our crappy old caravan and there was loads of room - the tent field was higher up so would probably get the full force of any strong winds - however being high up the rain water ran downwards

It was pretty well placed for visiting around the area. I'd probably go again when I get a more high powered car - hills + caravan + car didn't mix well!

have you looked on their website, you can order a brochure. I booked over the phone and found them very helpful in answeing my questions and I was able to choose my pitch. We have booked to go to Golden Coast next Easter, not been to any of their parks before but at £21 a night for two adults and two teens with all the facilities we thought we'd give it a try.
