Can anyone recommend a campsite that will accommodate our Vermont XLP with side extension. Drawback for liking comfort is that we cant find a pitch big enough for us :(
Looking for somewhere Devon/Doreset/Norfolk...... EHU a must, near a beach or at least within 10 minutes drive, only for the 2 of us so not really bothered about activities on site.
Any help would be good
Thanks

Hello there, clippesby hall in Norfolk, it's one of our favorite sites, the pitches are huge in some of the areas of the park. It is one of the more expensive sites but its well worth it. It a ten minute drive from two lovely beaches, one at sea Pauling the other one at winterton on sea. Hope this helps. Gary

Scratby Hall Norfolk we had our Vermont with side extension on one of their EHU pitches this summer 10 mins walk to beach, 10 mins drive to Caister, 15 mins drive to Gt Yarmouth.
Herston Yards Farm, Swanage have some pretty big pitches 15mins walk across the fields to the beach
There is also a big thread on here regarding campsites accepting large tents
hi there we have the same tent , if we want to book somewhere new we just ring the site and ask if they can or have a large enough pitch to accomadate us if not try another site , or else they will sort a pitch out for us . a phone call is all they need , thanks shaun
I have a Vermont xl. Try hidden valley in north Devon. Their premier pitch is huge. It's halfway between Braunton and ilfracombe. Less than 5 miles to Saunton & woolacombe beaches. We stayed 2 weeks in aug and booked for 2013 before we came home :0)
We had a great week in August at Forest Park Caravan site (50/50 tents & caravans) just south of Cromer, Norfolf. Its a bit hilly for camping but if you can book pitch 55 or 56 they are jumbo pitches and are pretty flat. Only a mile or so from Cromer and a short drive the Britains best kept secret, Sea Palling beach.

Don't forget you can always book two pitches side by side...which isn't necessarily going to be that more expensive if the site does the Tent + 2 pitching charge thing, and there's four of you with the kids old enough to be charged as extra adults. Or some sites will give you a reduction on the second pitch on the basis you'll still only use one EHU, bring one car and not have twice the number of showers.
