I am looking for a campsite for our summer holidays second week in July. I am from n. ireland and havent been to england on holidats so was hoping for some help. I'm looking for somewhere with lots to do in the local area, maybe close to a town. We were hoping somewhere in the south of England.
We like sports of all kinds kids are 15 and 12 and like a bit of independence. A campsite with or near evening entertainment is needed to keeps us all amused at night without the tele lol
So would appreciate some recommendations for a good area and or campsite to focus on.
Sorry this is a bit vague but I am just starting my research.

Hi
If youre looking for lots to do then you may like to consider Cornwall especially around the Newquay area. Holywell bay has lots to do onsite plus close to the beach and Newquay is a short drive away. Another to consider is the "Haven" sites more expensive but normally have things to do onsite as well as evening entertainment and they are dotted around the country

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Over the past 25yrs have holidayed in England a lot, but last four years have moved on to France.
Our favourite places in England are Devon and Norfolk.
Is it one weeks holiday you are planning?

Hi, sorry to hijack your thread, but i see the last reply mentioned norfolk, we have the same query whith regards teenagers, and are looking for a pitch in norfolk for two weeks, did you hav any tips..
The only site we have used in Norfolk has been Searles of Hunstanton. Not to everyone's liking, but when we went there it suited our needs perfectly.
Large holiday parks like this, we have always avoided, but this one was OK, for us anyway.
Our kids still say it is their favourite site in the UK.
I mentioned it on another thread on here and the OP mentioned that they had read reviews that weren't too good about Searles. I have to say that any reviews that I have read on here and on other websites, I would not say there were that bad.
