Anyone recommend a good caravan site on or close to the route ? Prefer adult only but that's me being picky .
Must have good clean facilities or I'll never convince the better half to come and watch a bike race ;-)

3 CC sites on Day 1 at Grassington, Hawes and Leyburn
2 CC sites on Day 2 at Knaresborough and Hebden Bridge
All very close if not next to the route.

Ours too, there is a CC CL at Ilkley right on the route on way to Skipton. Day two passes within 2/3 miles of it too. Sure will add to frenzy of cc booking day this December, if that's possible. OH thinks we should go away but NO chance of me going away those 2days.will be fantastic to be able to walk to chosen viewing spot and witness the caravan, peloton et al. C'est fantastique..

CL just outside Otley, also St Helena site about 3 miles away. Otley would be a good place to stay as it passes through on day 1 and it as it finishes in Harrogate 10 miles away. Also a great little town with good pubs and places to eat, big on real ale here too. Market on a Fri and Sat and big car boot on Sunday, riverside picnic area and great play park for the kids, J x

Twice when on holiday in France I've bumped into the race. Both times where possible people have parked on grass verges on the route. Two years ago when driving through Les Herbiers the route followed a large park and there were dozens of motorhomes parked nose to tail on both sides of the road. So thereby lies a possible solution if you own a motorhome. Get there early and park up for the day. Get the table/chairs and bbq out. I would think that many a farmer will be thinking along those lines and opening up his fields. After all it's just for a day.

the route will be shut 24 hours before the race, the laybyes on Holme Moss will be shut well in advance
