Have just booked 2 CLs, we don't need facilities now we camp on our own, have booked Marsh Farm Wiltshire and Bridge Farm House, Birgess Hill, £10 - £12.50 a night. Hopefully this is the way forward!
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Whoopie doo! but I'm afraid we didn't like the one at Burgess Hill (I added a review). We think it's definitely the way to go, if you find the right site.
Usually nice and quiet and when you can find them with hardstanding, fully serviced with full facilities (yes they do exsist) for £12 a night why look elsewhere
Sorry for the typo, should say Burgess Hill. I did read your review Mrs Bonce, it looks ok but tbh we are going to a 50th nearby and it's walking distance so that swung it! I think it's the way forward for us, caravanning has become VERY expensive lately.
One of the main reasons for being a member of both Clubs is so I can use CS and CL sites!
They offer great value for money, meaning I can get away more.
Got 64 nights of rallies and CS/CL sites planned this year.
Tried commercial sites (very wrongly) for our first outing with our first caravan ....... NEVER again!
Even with young kids, we think CL's are Brilliant! Use them all the time! Cheap, good facilities (if you look around), quiet, freedom and not 'rack 'em and stack 'em. Ideal.
If it's your first time using them, you've made the right decision. Just remember that there is a wide range of standards so if the ones you go to aren't great, still give them a chance!
