Last year we were thouroughly spoiled on the Isle of Wight staying on a campsite with direct access to a beach - the children loved it - straight out of the sea and into the shower at the end of the day. We are left fancying something similar this year. So....

Any site recommendations please? Happy to travel, have been looking at Dorset,Devon,Cornwall, but also N Yorkshire and Norfolk.

Must be tents and caravans(we camp with my parents) and dog friendly!

Many thanks x

We like Seacroft at Cromer but the tent area is separate from the caravan pitches and don't have EHU. Not direct beach access but only a short walk.

Also stayed at Heathland Beach near Lowestoft which has direct beach access.

Searles at Hunstanton also gets good reviews on here

Porth Beach Tourist park (Newquay) is a nice little site 100 yards from the beach.

It was called Grange farm  - nothing flash, but we loved the atmosphere and the beach was great. Facilitis were absolutely fine, clean and plenty of them, great play area for the children too. We would definitely recommend it.

Deers glade in Norfolk is brilliant with fantastic facilities and caravans and tents can be together, only about a 10 min drive to Cromer and 15 to other quieter beaches x

Warren Farm  is fantastic,  Our kids loved feeding the animals and putting them to bed, Beach was very handy had small soft play area which had a few arcade amusments which wern't over priced 2p slots were a must for my kids.theme park within walking distance great for days out to sourounding areas.

Porth beach was great too only down side was no entertaiment not that we like an all singing dancing site but we like the fact that its there if you want it.

HAVE A LOOK AT ANGLESEY CARAVAN SITE - DAFARN RHOS.  IT IS SITUATED RIGHT NEAR BEACH YOU HAVE A KEY TO GET OUT OF SITE ONTO THE BEACH.

THE BEACH IS WONDERFUL FOR CHILDREN ALSO DOG FRIENDLY.  FACILITIES WERE ALWAYS CLEAN WHEN WE USED THEM.  IF YOU READ THE REVIEWS YOU WILL SEE THAT SOME PEOPLE GRUMBLE ABOUT THE WARDENS BEING STRICT WITH NOISE ETC., AT NIGHT TO US THIS WAS A GOOD THING AS EVERYONE HAD A PEACEFUL NIGHTS SLEEP.  NO PLAYGROUND BUT WHO WANTS ONE WHEN YOU HAVE THE BEACH ON YOUR DOORSTEP.  WE WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK OUR GOLDEN RETRIEVER THOUGHT IT WAS PARADISE HAVING THE BEACH  ALMOST TO HERSELF FOR HER EARLY MORNING WALK & SWIM.

If you want a site by the beach go for Three Cliffs Bay at Oxwich on Gower Peninsula in south Wales, stunning views.
