At last we have booked our 2 weeks holiday to Scotland. There are so many lovely sites to choose from it has taken me ages to pick one. On 25th May we go to Invercoe Highland Holidays, Glencoe for 10 nights. Then to Glenearly, Dumfries and Galloway for 4 nights.
Has anyone been to either of these sites?
Really looking forward to it.
------------- Jill

Invercoe is an excellent site, kept spotless and views to die for. Am sure you will love it.

Glencoe can be a bit wet and I'm not sure I would spend 10 days there - 3 or 4, yes, but not 10.
Still, if you're interested in Scotland's industrial heritage, I believe there is a visitor centre at Balachulish. From just after the Glencoe massacre it was one of the main slate producing areas (along with Easdale), many of the grander buildings in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen etc are roofed with slate from there.
There are also walks round the old quarry area.

For a good day out have a drive up to Corran, get the ferry across, drive down to Lochaline get the ferry across to Mull, have a good drive round stopping off at the local villages, we stayed at Tobermory for a good hour, drive back down to Craignure and catch the latest ferry you can (check times 1st) to Oban, then head back up to Invercoe, might be a bit trashing this time of year but well worth it.
There is so much to see in that area that you will wish you had booked for 10 weeks, enjoy.
