I had the same impression of the CC so I joined the c & CC instead!

I am a member of both clubs can't say I have seen a great difference in membership, except of course tenting members on C&CC and perhaps more motorhomes on CC sites.

I think if you go mid-week and out of season you will of course find more retired members and if you go in school holidays more family members.

Has anyone else noticed that the CC magazine "Star Letter" generally seems to be one that is praising something about the CC?  Do they think that if we read it we will believe it?  There are plenty of other topics that are covered in the leters page but none seem to be granted the status of Star Letter.

But I am a member of both and find them very much the same.
We were members when both our boys used to come with us.
I do think the caravan club are not so strict as the c&cc .

We are retired but still in our 50s but daughter and son in law are in their 30s and we are all members of c.c.

We are first year members this year as well. We have been members of the C&CC for 44 years and this year are visiting a CC site to join up with other westie owners. As we joined at the Manchester show we have 2 free nights to use which will cover the cost of joining. I am 77 this year and my OH is 80. Its never too late.

Much as we all like to think caravans are for all ages, they're much more suited to being retired IMO. You need a lump sum and a reasonable amount of cash to get started and then, to make the most of it, you need to have a lot of free time. Those are difficult things to achieve if you're still working...

I am still working and a member of the CC. We have another 10 years (fingers crossed) before we can reach that special time - retirement! Can't wait as we can then use our caravan as much as we want - finances allowing of course! Hopefully much more than work allows us to do now!
