we are campsite wardens and are praying people cancel for easter.we have had torrential rain and snow so the ground is sodden, please ring the site you are going to and check the conditions.putting people on soggy pitches this early will ruin them for the rest of the season and remember 85% of sites have not recovered from last years downpours.
I'm really not trying to be argumentative :)BUT, why not call people and tell them you have to cancel due to the conditions of the site pitches, due to the weather? Yes you will loose money over the weekend, but if you end up with a severely damaged site, will you not end up loosing even more money, with pitches you just cannot hire out?
I'm new to camping, and I probably dont even have the right to comment, but I really am interested :)

Hi all,
Well we look like the perfect holiday park in the Alps!!
We have had much snow last weekend (about 12 inches), but our fantastic team of staff have cleared all roadways and pitches too, so all ready now for the Easter Holidays.
We have many events on for the weekend too our Easter Extravaganza of crafts, face painting, fairground ride, and of course the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance on Sat, Sun and Monday 30th March - 1st April. This event is open to all - so day visitors are welcome too!! For more info, visit our website or Facebook pages http://www.facebook.com/PlasseyLeisurePark
Happy Easter Holidays, John www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2053

I do not like camping during the school holidays or Bank Holidays, and prefer to spread my holidays over the year by having 5-6 nights over long weekends, including the colder months.
However, Easter weekend is too good a weekend not to go camping, as I only need to take 2 days off to have a 6-nighter. Camping in the cold can be as much fun as camping in the warmer months, just need to make some adjustments to the gear and food lists, and be prepared for cold, wet and windy weather. If I were to camp only when the weather is good, then I would not have gone anywhere last year! DK
