I thought that too but things seem to have changed - see page 49 of the latest Big Sites Book. Two nights now applies to "all pitch types".

Just to clarify other postings - you can still book one night (most sites) in Low and Mid Season Sundays to Thursdays.

CS sites (Certificated Sites) will allow one night and are cheaper than the main C&CC sites. You normally have to phone to book, have you tried booking one of these..?
